No Plot? No Problem!

So waiting on my doorstep this afternoon was a package that I have been eagerly awaiting.

Ordered from the fabulous, modcloth.com, my novel writing kit had finally come!

I've read the instructions, I've begun writing, I'm officially crazy.

Yes folks, I am attempting to write a complete 50,000 word novel in no longer than one month.  31 days, 50,000 words, umpteen cups of coffee and one rough draft of a novel will result!

The handy dandy notebook suggested I keep a blog of this (of course I would anyway) with small excerpts every now and then.

So... here is my first:

"Lying in her mother’s place on the bed was a horribly disfigured mass, covered in blood and oozing slightly."


How is that for suspenseful? Stay tuned and wish me luck!

I have been spending a lot of time listening to my "showtunes" station on Pandora.

This has inspired a list of movies I would like to watch this summer.

They are as follows:

Evita

A few of them I have seen before, and also I would like to add to this list anything that Andrew Lloyd Webber has written music for.  I find him to be pretty much amazing, and he has a way of writing music that can be enjoyed out of context of the musical/movie it was written for (hello, Think of Me and Don't Cry for me Argentina!).  

These are my summer movies, I will review them as I watch them.

Roll out those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer...

This is the summer of change.  New home, new hobbies, new family and new friends.

To do list:

Find a thrift store I love,

Cook a four course meal,

Finish Miss Lane's scarf,

Learn to golf,

Begin my book,

Go on an adventure,

Float the river.
